How do you feel about working in the place you grew up in?
I am enjoying the job immensely. I didn’t know how I would feel working in Denton so close to home after years of working in the city centre. I have found the people in this area lovely to work with. When I worked in the city, I dealt with a lot of investors mainly concerned with yields and returns; there was no emotional connection with their property. Many of the people I meet either know me or know my family; it’s quite funny, we can always seem to find a connection. I even bump into some of my vendors on the school run in the morning.

What are your thoughts on the property market in Denton?
There are a lot of properties on the market in this area. We can’t deny that the economy has meant we have been through tough times in the property market, but there is good demand for properties in Denton and Audenshaw. The market is very price sensitive so it is very important to ensure your property is marketed at the right price, and the key is to ensure that your property is presented and marketed to the highest possible standard. When doing a property search on the internet, you’ve got just a few seconds to wow that person, and if your photos don’t cut the mustard, they probably won’t give your property a second glance.
