Castle Quay is a large standalone warehouse conversion located on the southern outskirts of the city centre and on the edge of Castlefield, Manchester’s most sought-after city centre location. Converted in 1994, Castle Quay was one of the first residential developments in the city centre and remains one of the most popular.
It’s a large 6-storey building with north-facing views of the adjacent canal and south-facing views across the city centre. The building is located in its own grounds and although there is pedestrian access, very few people walk past the building, making it one of the quietest developments in town. Inside there is a wide-range of apartment styles, from compact studios, to well-sized one-bedroom apartments, huge two bedroom apartments and some of the largest penthouses in Manchester.
Most apartments have chunky exposed-brick walls and terracotta-tiled internal balconies and the sizes are very generous; most two-bedroom apartments are over 1,100sqft in size, nearly 40% bigger than comparable two-bedroom units. The building has a daytime concierge, gated outdoor parking and is within easy walking distance of Deansgate.
