We’ve seen a lot of changes over the years across The Heatons, but what remains a constant are the brilliant schools we have that teach and guide our children. All of the team at Philip James Wilson live locally and send or have sent their children to local schools.
Supporting our schools is important to us, so to celebrate Halloween and for a little fun, we decided to run a ‘Spookiest House’ competition for two primary schools in The Heatons, Tithe Barn and Norris Bank Primary Schools.
Everyone in the office loved the artwork and we’re so proud to display it across our lovely new windows for everyone to see. I’m sure you’ll all agree how fantastic it looks, and all the children should be very proud of their artwork. The artwork will be on display until Wednesday 2nd November, so please visit the branch and see the artwork for yourself.
As a little incentive to inspire those budding Picasso’s, we decided to offer first and second prizes for creativity, with the winners receiving 5 tickets to the Sealife Centre and runners-up £20 gift voucher for Toys’r’Us.

Not only are we supporting the arts but supporting grassroots sports too. We’re proud to announce our sponsorship of Priestnall Secondary School’s football kits. As one of the leading schools in the area, we were delighted to offer our financial support and contribute to future footballing talent. We’ve purchased five new full kits for the boys and girls teams, so now they look just as good as they play. We’ll certainly be following their results closely this season.
As I previously mentioned, we’ve changed and updated our branch windows so now they’re even more prominent for passers by. We’re confident the new windows plus our enviable location on the corner of Heaton Moor and Balmoral Road will sell or let your property even faster than before.
