About Reddish

Reddish has something for everyone, and is popular with first time buyers, families, empty nesters and buy to let investors. There is an array of affordable properties, fantastic green spaces, a nature reserve, excellent local schools and amenities which creates a high demand from families.

There has been significant investment from supermarket chains, as well as lots of independent cafes and bars making Reddish their home. This up and coming area is close to the Heatons and Levenshulme, and in recent years we’ve seen professionals who have rented in Didsbury and Chorlton move into Reddish to buy.

Transport

Reddish is located five miles from Manchester City Centre and located on the edge of Stockport Centre. It has excellent commuting links via North Reddish train station and Heaton Chapel which can get you into Manchester City Centre in just ten minutes.

The areas infrastructure is excellent, with reliable public transport including bus routes and close proximity to train stations to get you around. There is also easy access to the motorway network making it a popular with commuters wanting to get into Manchester City Centre and Stockport. 

Local Amenities

The area has a strong community spirit, with the historic Reddish Library situated on the main road, a community centre and an abundance of churches and religious buildings throughout the district. Houldsworth square is situated in the centre of Reddish, there are supermarkets, banks, post offices and an array of independent shops. Due to the investment in the area, more bars and restaurants are popping up which is proving popular with the local residents. For those wanting to explore Stockport’s Underbanks area, there are shops aplenty within a 10 minute drive.

Reddish also boasts its own country park in Reddish Vale and two popular golf courses. The Nature Reserve Park with green open spaces and duck pond, makes it a great area for scenic country walks and horse riding. A popular attraction for families is Reddish Vale Animal Farm which is open to the public throughout the year.
